Senior To Senior was established on February 22, 2008 by Policy Board Members: Bro. Robert McDaniel, Jr. -- President Dea. Andrew Haliburton, Jr. -- V. President Sis. Hazetta Harris, Secretary & Co-Founder Sis. Caroline Dixon, Treasurer & Co-Founder The organization exists to meet the social, educational and personal needs of the elderly, widowed and disabled. This organization has partnered with Fulton Atlanta Community Action Authority, Inc. under the direction of Dr. Joyce J. Dorsey, Executive Director to assist with providing needed services. Several services have been performed to included: food for seniors; assisting with meals on meals; screening for food stamps; assisting with minor home repairs; providing assisting with wills; notary public service, home weatherizing; roof repairs among other servcies. On the lst Wednesday in February 2010, the Policy Board kicked off one of its premier projects -- 'Wonderful Wednesday For Seniors'. Seniors gather ed at 12 noon until 1:30 PM for an afternoon of resources, bingo, healthy snacks and an opportunity to visit the vegetable and fruit truck. Each lst Wednesday of the month, 'Wonderful Wednesday For Seniors' will be held. On May 5th & 12th, 2010, a diabetes workshop will be held from 12 Noon until 1:30 PM. This is a 'free' workshop. Everyone is invited to attend. On the lst Wednesday in June 2010, seniors will parade in their finest wear. A 'Senior Fashion Fling' will be held on June 2nd, beginning at 12 Noon.
