Church History
The origin of Greater Deliverance Baptist Church took place on April 2, 1997. The church was found, established, and named by our Pastor, Rev. James Dixon on his birthday of 1997.
The congregation marched into the sanctuary located at 705 Joseph E. Lowery Boulevard, NW, Atlanta, Georgia on Sunday, July 6, 1997.
Praise God!!! The members of Greater Deliverance celebrated our 20th Church Anniversary on Sunday, June 25, 2017.
On Saturday, June 17, 2017, members, family and friends met on the church's parking lot to celebrate 20 years of hard work to be 'debt free'!!! Who Did It? 'God Did It'!!!
In November 2020, the church was blessed to install a LED church sign.
Pastor Dixon and members are now focusing more on 'Missions'!!! We believe in the 'Great Commandment' - Matthew 22:36-40 and 'The Great Commission' - Matthew 28:19-20.
Now, that the 'brick and mortar' has been completed, we pray that God will give further directions to 'reach the lost' for him.
